radixin
radixin (rah-diks'in), A protein that belongs to the ERM (that is, ezrin, radixin, and moesin) group of the band 4.1 superfamily of membrane proteins; appears to function in establishing links between the cell membrane and the underlying cytoskeleton. It also has been suggested to have some function in the formation of microvilli and in the establishment of adhesion between cells and between the cell and the extracellular matrix.AcronymsSeeRDX |
