Slavgorod

 

a city under krai jurisdiction and administrative center of Slavgorod Raion, Altai Krai, RSFSR. Located in the western part of the Kulunda Steppe, between Lakes Sekachi and Bol’shoe Iarovoe. Railroad station on the Tatarskaia-Kulunda line. Population, 48,000 (1975). Slavgorod has a plant for the production of forging and pressing equipment, a milk-canning combine, a meat-packing combine, a brewery, and garment and furniture factories. It also has an agricultural tech-nicum, a technicum of mechanized accounting, and a pedagogical school. [23–1612–]


Slavgorod

 

(until 1945 the settlement of Propoisk), a city and administrative center of Slavgorod Raion, Mogilev Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Slavgorod is a landing at the influx of the Pronia River into the Sozh River, 58 km from the Krichev railroad junction; rail lines run to Mogilev, Orsha, Vorozhba, and Roslavl’. The city has a vegetable-drying plant, a creamery, and a plant producing reinforced-concrete products. [23–1613–]

an urban-type settlement in Sinel’nikovo Raion, Dnepropetrovsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Slavgorod has a railroad station on the Sinel’nikovo-Zaporozh’e line. There is a plant for the manufacture of fittings and reinforcements in the settlement. [23–1613–]
