terminal area

The area used or intended to be used for such facilities as terminal and cargo buildings, gates, hangars, shops, and other service buildings; vehicle parking, airport motels, and restaurants—all facilities used in connection with airports. It also includes the entrance and service roads used by the public within the boundary of the airport.
