Location:In Allegany County, 6 miles east of Cumberland on I-68, exit 50.
Facilities:278 improved campsites (30 with electric hookups; some sites @di),bathhouses, family group campsite with mini-cabin, 3 youth groupcamping areas, 10 mini-cabins, 3-bedroom chalet, picnic area andshelters (é), hiking trails, swimming beaches, fishing piers (é),boat ramp, boat rentals (canoes, kayaks, rowboats, paddle boats),amphitheater (@di; available for rental), camp store, food concessions,game room, nature center, aviary; also located at the park is a220-room lodge with meeting rooms, full-service restaurant and lounge,private dining room, fitness room, swimming pool, tennis and volleyballcourts, gazebo dock, and18-hole golf course.
Activities:Camping, boating (electric motors only), flatwater canoeing, freshwaterfishing, swimming, hiking, hunting, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park is surrounded by rugged mountains and features 243-acre LakeHabeeb, where boating is permitted 24 hours a day. The lake is fed byRocky Gap Run, which winds through a mile-long gorge with sheer cliffs,overlooks, and a hemlock forest dense with rhododendron. The Rocky GapLodge and Golf Resort is situated in the heart of the park.
