Location:2 miles north of Hamden off Route 10.
Facilities:Youth group camping areas (written application required), picnicshelter, picnic tables (é), hiking trails, nature trail, bathrooms,observation tower, scenic vista.
Activities:Stream fishing, hiking.
Special Features:The "sleeping giant" is a 2-mile stretch of mountain top resembling alarge man lying in repose. A 1.5 mile scenic trail leads to the stoneobservation tower on the peak of Mount Carmel, affording excellentviews of Long Island Sound and the New Haven area. Park is adesignated Trout Park.
