Tademaït

a plateau in Algeria, in the northwestern part of the Sahara Desert. The plateau separates the Grand Erg Oriental from the Grand Erg Occidental. It has elevations to 845 m and is composed of limestones. The surface of the Plateau du Tademaï’t, dissected by deep wadi valleys, is a barren rocky desert. The slopes are steep in the south and steplike in the northwest.
