Segezha

a city and administrative center of Segezha Raion, Karelian ASSR; located on the western shore of Vygozero Reservoir, on the Baltic-White Sea Canal. Railroad station on the Petrozavodsk-Belomorsk line. Population, 34,800 (1975). Segezha has pulp-and-paper and wood-products combines.
