postural Hennebert test pos·tur·al Hen·ne·bert test (pos'chŭr-ăl en-bār' test) Application of air pressure to an external auditory canal with the patient standing. It measures postural destabilization, an abnormal response to pressure change of the vestibular endorgans (otolith organs or semicircular canals). It is often called the "platform pressure test" when performed on a force platform, which quantifies and documents the postural stabilization. |
