United States CitizenA person entitled to all rights and responsibilities offered under the Constitution of the United States. A U.S. citizen is protected by the United States government when abroad. Unless one loses one's rights (for example, by committing a felony), a U.S. citizen may vote, run for political office and conduct business without special permission.
