Rohác Z Dubé, Jan

Year of birth unknown; died Sept. 9, 1437. Figure in the Hussite revolutionary movement. Hetman of the Taborites from 1421.

Roháč z Dubé became the head of the Taborite forces after their defeat in Lipany in 1434. In 1436 he led the defense of the fortress of Zion, the last Taborite stronghold. He was executed in Prague together with 52 of his closest comrades-in-arms.
