Vyia

a river located in Arkhangelsk Oblast, RSFSR; left tributary of the Pinega (Severnaia Dvina Basin). Length, 181 km; basin area, 2,710 sq km. The Vyia flows through forests on a gently rolling lowland. It is fed by diverse sources, primarily rain. Its high-water period is in April and May, and there are flash floods during the summer and fall.
