Vyshnii Volok Reservoir

 

a reservoir formed in the valleys of the Shlina and Tsna rivers in the 18th century (in 1951 the structures creating the head were rebuilt).

The Vyshnii Volok Reservoir is located on the territory of Kalinin Oblast, RSFSR. It has an area of 108 sq km, a volume of 0.32 cu km, and a length of 12 km; its greatest width is 9 km. The level of the reservoir varies within limits of 3 m. The Vyshnii Volok Reservoir regulates the seasonal flow of water. It is utilized for water supply, water transportation, the floating of logs, power engineering, and fishing (bream, pike-perch, and pike).
