Rakitnoe

an urban-type settlement in Rakitnoe Raion, Kiev Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Situated on the Ros’ River, a tributary of the Dnieper; railroad station on the Fastov-Mironovka line. Population, 10,800(1975). Rakitnoe has a food-processing combine, butter factory, sugar plant, mixed-feed plant, and fruit cannery. It also has a plant that manufactures reinforced-concrete items.
