Potter, William A. (Appleton)

(1842–1909) architect; born in Schenectady, N.Y. (half brother of Edward T. Potter). Practicing in New York, he specialized in collegiate buildings and suburban estates and was identified with the American High Victorian Gothic and Richardsonian styles.
