i. A hydraulic flow-control valve to direct pressurized fluid into one side of actuator and, at the same time, direct return fluid from the other side of the actuator to the reservoir.
ii. When used in relation to fuel systems, it means a switch through which tank selection is made. Also called a tank selector valve.
