| 释义 | BAIAP2BAIAP2A gene on chromosome 17q25 that encodes an adapter protein which links membrane-bound small G proteins to cytoplasmic effector proteins. BAIAP2 is needed for CDC42-mediated reorganisation of the actin cytoskeleton and for RAC1-mediated membrane ruffling; it is involved in regulating the actin cytoskeleton by WASF family members and the Arp2/3 complex, plays a role in neurite growth and in reorganising the actin cytoskeleton in response to bacterial infection. It acts syngeristically with ENAH to promote filipodia formation. |
