Tricholoma
Tricholoma a genus of hymenomycete gill fungi. The cap has a solid central stem and generally lacks a spathe. The gills are slightly fused with the stem. The colorless spores appear to be white when in large groups. There are more than 100 species, most of which form mycorrhizae. The mushrooms fruit mainly in autumn, sometimes in large numbers (for example, T. portentosum and T. albobrunneum). Most species are edible; poisonous species include T.pardinum and T. sulphureum.
