Povalusha

in Russian wood architecture, a large, tall towerlike frame with its own roof. It was usually built on a podklet (a lower, uninhabited one- or two-story floor) and was a part of mansions and large dwellings. The povalusha, connected with the rest of the house by a passageway, was the place where feasts were held.
