Tushino Camp

the administrative seat and military camp of the Second False Dmitrii in the village of Tushino, near Moscow, from the summer of 1608 until early 1610. Fortified with earthen banks and wooden defensive structures, it was burned in March 1610, during the Polish withdrawal. Excavations of the camp have uncovered arms (sabers, harquebus barrels, spearheads), tools (axes, blacksmiths’ hammers), and utensils and other household articles.
