Romansh-Speaking People

 

a small group of Rhaeto-Romance-speaking people living in the Swiss canton of Grau-bÜnden. They speak the Rhaeto-Romance dialect known as Romansh; many are bilingual, with Swiss German as their second language. They are Catholics. The ancestors of the Ro-mansh-speaking people were the Romanized Rhaetian tribes.

The Romansh-speaking people use local pastures to raise livestock and also engage in land cultivation. Industries connected with tourism are of major importance.
