Romishevskii, Igor’ Anatol’evich
Born Mar. 25, 1940, in the city of Zhukovskii, Moscow Oblast. Soviet athlete and coach. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1968). Cand. S. (Tech.) (1974). Member of the CPSU since 1969.
From 1970 to 1974, Romishevskii was a member of the Central Committee of the All-Union Lenin Communist Youth League of the USSR. He was a champion of the USSR several times during the years 1963–72 as a member of the ice-hockey team of the Central Sports Club of the Army. As a member of the USSR national team he also won the European championship (1968–70), the world championship (1968–71), and the Olympic gold medal (1968, 1972). Since 1974 he has been head of the subdepartment of physical eduation at the Moscow Phy-sicotechnical Institute. Romishevskii has been awarded two orders and various medals.
