Selizharovka

a river in Kalinin Oblast, RSFSR, the first major left tributary of the Volga. The Selizharovka is 36 km long and drains an area of 2,950 sq km. It originates in Lake Seliger and is fed in various ways. The mean flow rate 22 km from the mouth is 20 cu m per sec. The Selizharovka was the main source of the upper Volga’s flow while the Upper Volga Reservoir was being filled.
