Tajikistani RubleThe former currency of Tajikistan. It was introduced in 1995, replacing the Russian ruble, which had itself only recently replaced the Soviet ruble. It suffered from high inflation for five years, and, in 2000, was replaced by the Tajikistani somoni. |
