Location:6 miles south of Safford off US Route 191.
Facilities:71 campsites, electric hookups, cabins, showers, restrooms, group-use area,picnic areas, picnic shelters, hiking trails, boat ramp, natural mineral water hot springs hottub, day-use island, beach, visitorcenter, playground (é).
Activities:Camping, boating (no gas motors), fishing, swimming.
Special Features:Park consists of two units: the main Roper Lake Unit and the Dankworth Pond Unit, 3 miles south. Roper Lake features a 30-acre stocked lake and a natural stone hot tub with water from the park's mineral hot springs. Dankworth Pond (15 acres) was once a fish hatchery for rearing catfish; it features a replica Indian Village.
