PPIE
PPIE A gene on chromosome 1p32 that encodes peptidylprolyl cis-trans isomerase E (cyclophilin E), which, as with other PPIs, accelerates protein folding. It catalyses the cis-trans isomerisation of proline-imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. Cyclophilin E may be involved in muscle- and brain-specific functions; it may play a role in pre-mRNA splicing.PPIE
