Malinina, Praskov’ia Andreevna

Born Oct. 28 (Nov. 10), 1904, in the village of Samet’, in present-day Kostroma Raion, Kostroma Oblast. Kolkhoz production innovator. Chairwoman of the 12th Oktiabr’ Kolkhoz in Kostroma Raion, Kostroma Oblast. Hero of Socialist Labor (1948). Became a member of the CPSU in 1942.

In 1935, Malinina became the forewoman, and in 1937 the manager, of a dairy products farm; she became chairwoman of the kolkhoz in 1951. Milk yields per forage-fed cow at the kolkhoz were 3,644 kg in 1946 (96 cows), 4,223 kg in 1969 (265 cows), 3,937 kg in 1970 (265 cows), 3,785 kg in 1971 (300 cows), and 3,344 kg in 1972 (314 cows). Malinina was a delegate to the Nineteenth, Twentieth, Twenty-second, and Twenty-third Congresses of the CPSU and a deputy to the second through seventh convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR. She received the State Prize of the USSR in 1951 and has been awarded five Orders of Lenin, two other orders, and medals. She has also been awarded medals from the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition and the Exhibition of the Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR, including the Great Gold and gold medals.
