Location:On the island of Vieques, Puerto Rico.

Activities:Hiking, bicycling, fishing, beach activities, crabbing.
Special Features:In addition to its ecological value, the refuge contains important resources of archeological and historic significance and legacies of the Taino culture and sugar cane era.
Habitats: 17,673 acres of beaches, coastal lagoons, mangrove wetlands and upland forested areas. The marine environment around the refuge contains coral reefs and seagrass beds.
Access: Certain areas of the refuge are open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset.
Wild life: Antillean manatee, brown pelican, green, loggerhead, hawksbill and leatherback sea turtles, crabs, and migratory birds.
