Rothenburg, Susan

(1945– ) painter, printmaker; born in Buffalo, N.Y. She studied at Cornell University, New York (B.F.A. 1966), and at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. (1967), and settled in New York City (1969). She is known for her expressionistic large canvases, such as IXI (1977), a bold image of a red horse.
