Aprelevka

a city in Moscow Oblast, RSFSR. It has a railroad station and is located 42 km southwest of Moscow. Population, 17,000 (1967). Since 1910, Aprelevka has had a phonograph record factory, which now produces about 60 percent of the records manufactured in the USSR. Other products include insulating materials and metalware. Aprelevka was a settlement until 1961, when it became a city.
