Vorob’evite
(morganite), a mineral; a colorless or pink variety of beryl characterized by an admixture of manganese and rare alkalies (Cs). After screening, the transparent, beautifully tinted crystals are used as gemstones. The mineral was named in 1908 by V. I. Vernadskii in honor of the Russian mineralogist V. I. Vorob’ev (1875-1906).
