a local breed of heavy draft horses bred in Voronezh Oblast resembling the Bitiug. The Voronezh draft horse is more massive and boney than trotters, yet lighter and more agile than heavy draft horses. The average measurements of stallions are height at the withers, 162 cm; length of body, 166 cm; chest circumference, 195 cm; and circumference of the front cannon bone, 22 cm. The average stallion weighs 550 kg. The horse is hardy and is simple to feed and care for. It is used in agricultural and transport work. Its average speed at a walk is 5.8 km per hour and its load capacity reaches as high as 4 tons. It is bred in Voronezh Oblast.
