Rayleigh interferometer

[′rā·lē ‚in·tər·fə′räm·əd·ər] (optics) An optical interferometer in which two rays of light, emanating from a single slit, are collimated by a lens, pass through separate slits and cells, and are brought to focus by a second lens so that interference fringes become visible. Also known as Rayleigh refractometer.
