Thygeson disease

[Phillips Thygeson, U.S. physician, 1903–2003] Bilateral corneal inflammation of unknown cause; it often creates a sensation of dry eyes or of a foreign body in the eye, tearing, and photophobia. The cornea is dotted, pitted, or grooved by inflamed channels. Corticosteroids applied topically are effective treatments.
