Smidovich

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Smidovich Raion, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. Smidovich has a railroad station (In) on the main line of the Trans-Siberian Railroad, 75 km southeast of Birobidzhan. It has enterprises for the maintenance of the railroad, an automotive-repair plant, and a garment factory.
