Paulhus Deception Scale (pol′ūs) [Delroy L. Paulhus, Canadian psychologist] , PDSA psychometric test that measures the tendency of some respondents to give distorted impressions of their character when they answer questionnaires. Most people prefer to give others a positive impression of their capabilities and attitudes. The PDS consists of 40 items that assess the degree to which people try to exaggerate their favorable qualities when they describe themselves to others. |
