Rozenberg, David Iokhelevich

 

Born Nov. 15 (27), 1879, in Ŝateĩkiai, in what is now Plunge Raion, Lithuanian SSR; died Feb. 17, 1950, in Moscow. Soviet economist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1939). Member of the CPSU from 1920.

Between 1924 and 1931, Rozenberg conducted a course in political economy at the N. K. Krupskaia Academy of Communist Upbringing. From 1931 to 1937 he was a professor at the Economics Institute of Red Professors and simultaneously a senior research worker at the Institute of Economics of the Communist Academy. In 1936 he began work at the Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR and in 1937 became a professor at Moscow State University. From 1941 to 1943 he was a professor at the University of Kazan. From 1945 to 1948 he was a senior research worker at the Marx-Engels-Lenin Institute of the Central Committee of the ACP(B).

Rozenberg received the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
