Rozmaryn, Stefan

 

Born Oct. 23, 1908, in L’vov; died June 4, 1969, in Warsaw. Polish jurist and state figure; specialist in state law. Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences (1952).

From 1940 to 1946, Rozmaryn taught at the universities of L’vov, Sverdlovsk, and Kazan. From 1947 to 1969 he was a professor at Warsaw University. He was general director in charge of affairs for the Council of Ministers of the Polish People’s Republic from 1950 to 1969. He was vice-president of the International Association of Legal Science from 1960 to 1962 and served as the association’s president from 1962 to 1964. He was also a member of the Academy of Comparative Law.
