Location:15 miles east on Highway 12 from the town of Valentine, then 4 miles south on gravel road.
Facilities:23 primitive tent campsites, modern restrooms, pay showers, foodconcession, picnic sites, picnic shelter with electricity, 1-milehiking trail.
Activities:Camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking (on established trails only).
Special Features:Nebraska's newest state park straddles the Niobrara National ScenicRiver (see entry in national parks section). It protects biological andscenic features of the location and allows visitors a view of thestate's highest waterfall. Facilities are located on the north side ofthe Niobrara, with a footbridge across the river providing a link tothe falls, which are located on the south side of the river.
