A communicating tract from a patent urachus, which drains to the umbilicus, and causes episodic infections.Clinical findings
Children may present with periumbilical tenderness, pus or granulation tissue at the umbilicus; this last is often linked to multiple applications of silver nitrate, based on the erroneous assumption that the sinus was residual umbilical cord.
