Reactive hyperthrombocytosis platelet count of ≥ 800 x 109/L–US = ≥ 800 000/µl, seen in ± 1:200 of hospital Pts Associations Acute and chronic inflammation–eg, RA, SLE, malignancies, neonatal RDS, and after hemorrhage, surgery, trauma; in some cases of RHT–eg, burns, hypothermia, preeclampsia, low platelet numbers are present.
