Presidente Prudente

a city in southeastern Brazil, in the state of Sao Paulo. Population, 105,400 (1970).

A junction of highways, Presidente Prudente also has a railroad station. Its industries produce foodstuffs (meat and dairy, vegetable oil, processed rice), wood products, leather footwear, textiles, and pottery. The city is the commercial center of an agricultural region.
