Smorgon

a city (since 1940) and administrative center of Smorgon’ Raion, Grodno Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Railroad station on the Vilnius-Molodechno line. Smorgon’ has a timber mill, a butter factory, and a mixed-feed plant. A factory for the production of powdered nonfat milk and a flax-processing mill are under construction (1975). [23–1863–]
