a fan-shaped fold of peritoneum that passes from the gastrosplenic ligament near the lower end of the spleen to the phrenicocolic ligament with which it blends. It contains branches of the splenic or the left gastroepiploic artery.

presplenic fold

An obsolete term that formerly dignified the angled peritoneal reflection between the gastrosplenic and lienosplenic ligaments towards the lower pole of the spleen, which typically carries some branches of the splenic artery.
