Pchelovodstvo

(Beekeeping), a practical and popular monthly journal of the Ministry of Agriculture of the USSR. It was based on the journal Pchelovodnoe delo, which was published for the first time in Moscow in October 1921 and reorganized in 1930 into the journal Kollektivnoe pchelovodnoe delo. It has been published under its present name since 1933.

Pchelovodstvo is intended for kolkhoz and sovkhoz beekeepers, amateur beekeepers, and research workers. It is published in Moscow. It presents articles on the raising and care of bee colonies, economics of beekeeping, prevention of bee diseases, organization and use of forage resources, and apiary equipment in the USSR and abroad. Circulation, 420,000 (1974).
