Born 1905, in Antakya (Antioch); died Mar. 8, 1959, in Istanbul. Turkish author.

Bekir Sitki Künt graduated from the department of law of the University of Istanbul in 1928. From 1925 to 1930 he worked on the newspaper Vakit. He was deputy of the majlis (1939–46). The majority of his verses and travel sketches were published in periodicals. His realistic short stories (five collections) are well known; in them he gives an accurate description of the life of simple people and their struggle against social injustice. The influence of Sadri Ertem is noticeable in his works.
