(ā'bră-hamz), an obsolete sign.1. earlier appreciation of abnormal pulmonary auscultatory signs over the distal clavicle than at the apex, suggesting apical tuberculosis. 2. diminished percussive resonance over the pulmonary apex in advancing tuberculosis.
