Real Estate Limited Partnership

Real Estate Limited Partnership

A limited partnership in which the limited partners provide capital and the general partner in turn manages the development of real estate, for example, to build an apartment complex or housing subdivision. The general partner uses the investment money from the limited partners to construct and sell or rent the property. This gives the limited partners a good chance at a steady return, and the potential of high growth. A real estate limited partnership may also provide tax benefits for the partners.
