Rubenfeld Synergy Method
Rubenfeld Synergy Method
Fringe medicineA system of body-oriented psychotherapy developed in the early 1960s by Israeli-American Ilana Rubenfeld, which integrates the mind, body, emotions and spirit through gentle touch, allowing the release of pain and fear. The method incorporates elements of the Alexander technique, aura analysis, dreamwork, Feldenkreis method, Gestalt therapy, humour therapy, hypnosis, kinesis and therapeutic touch. A session consists of a process of four-stages—awareness, experimentation, integration and reentry—which occur separately and simultaneously on all four interrelated levels of body, mind, emotion and spirit.
