(Journal of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR), a monthly scientific journal; organ of the General Assembly and the Presidium of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR. Published in Moscow since 1945. The journal prints scientific materials and summary articles on the most important questions of medical science and practice, deals with the activity of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, contains accounts of scientific conferences in the USSR and abroad, and reviews medical scientific publications and periodical publications. Special attention is devoted to treatment of the activity of the medical scientific institutions of the socialist countries and the World Health Organization. Circulation, about 2,500 (1971).
