Vestnik Drevnei Istorii

(Journal of Ancient History), a journal of the Institute of World History of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Founded in Moscow in 1937. It publishes research articles, book reviews, criticism, and bibliography in the field of ancient history, as well as current news concerning scholarly life. In the section entitled “Supplements,” Russian translations of ancient source materials are provided. The journal is published quarterly, and its circulation (as of 1971) exceeds 3,000 copies.
